Earthquake: San Francisco, CA 1906

Students watched six clips from a National Geographic video about the famous 1906 San Francisco Earthquake.  After each clip we discussed the "key words" and details about the event revealed in each clip.  Then students drew a picture to depict the details viewed and discussed.

Once we completed watching the clips students wrote a summary re-telling what happened during this famous earthquake and answered an opinion question regarding the earthquake.

After writing the summaries students shared them with a friend, listened to a friend, and a few students shared theirs with the class.
